Anna Faris is set to star in the remake of the Goldie Hawn film Private Benjamin.
Will Smith is gearing up to save the world a few more times in Independence Day 2 and 3.
So lets see the string...
Will Smith in ID4 2 and 3.
Smith will also be in the Over Board remake, which originally stared Goldie Hawn.
Goldie Hawn also starred in Private Benjamin, the remake stars Anna Faris.
Ana Faris will also appear in the Yogi Bear movie, staring Dan Aykroyd as the Yogi.
Aykroyd is currently working on Ghostbusters 3...
I was hoping I could link this back to Will Smith, but no luck. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome.

ReplyDeleteWe can skip Dan Aykroyd entirely, because Anna Faris is rumored to be cast in Ghostbusters 3 herself. So, using ONLY remakes or adaptations:
Anna Faris is in Ghostbusters 3 with Bill Murray.
Bill Murray was in Get Smart with Steve Carrell (also, incidentally, with your preferred Skipper Patrick Warburton).
Steve Carrell was in Horton Hears a Who with Jim Carrey.
Jim Carrey was in Batman Forever with Tommy Lee Jones.
Tommy Lee Jones was in Men in Black 2 (and, I imagine, the MIB3 that's in the works but of which I can't see the details without a membership to IMDBPro) with none other than.... WILL SMITH!
WIN! That's five degrees, plus the two degrees it took you to get from Smith to Faris in your original post, which means it takes only seven degrees for Will Smith to get back to himself using only remakes/adaptations. BAM.
Oh, yeah... I counted sequels. I think that's fair, and still impressive.
